ER Follow-Up

I went to the doctor today for my follow-up appointment after my ER visit last week.

The verdict is surgery. I will say RIP to my gallbladder next Wednesday, June 30th.

No work for atleast 2 weeks, maybe more. No picking up my son. No exercise for 6 weeks. I’m devastated.

  1. I just came across your blog. I have the same weight loss as you. Very similar. I can only imagine how you must feel. I would be devestated as well. 6 weeks seems like a lifetime.

  2. Amanda, think of it as a temporary vacation. When you are back to it you will be stronger because the gall bladder is gone and no more pain. Hust eat well and you will do well.
Thinking of you, hope all goes well.

I have recently been following your blog–it is great. I hope your surgery goes well–I think the upside to this is that you are fit and will do well because of it! My sister had this same thing happen, it was a tough recovery, but you know what? It wasn’t until it was after that she began to really excerise and start running–now having run 2 marathons! Just remember, you will recover, and you will be so glad to be done with that and move on.

Best wishes–I’ll keep following, hoping to hear how the surgery goes and the recovery.

This may give you another look at gallstone disease and also has lit cites for reference.
