Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

As part of my “make it with what you’ve got” week, I headed out to the deep freezer in our garage today to explore my options. I found a couple of bags of frozen tilapia that I bought FOREVER ago when they were BOGO at Winn Dixie.

Its been so long since I cooked fish (or any meat for that matter) that I wasn’t sure what to do with it. I found this recipe on my go-to recipe website.

So simple and delicious! I sprinkled Old Bay Seasoning on the filets before broiling them the first time. Broiled on one side for 3 minutes, flip, broil on second side for 3 minutes. Take them out and coat with butter mixture and broil a couple more minutes. Done!

The butter mixture includes:

  1. Butter
  2. Mayonnaise
  3. Parmesan Cheese
  4. Lemon Juice (I used lime)
  5. Salt, Pepper and Onion powder (I used garlic powder)
  6. Celery Salt (I used celery seeds, don’t skip this!)

I served the tilapia with roasted sage potatoes and balsamic spinach & mushrooms.

It was so yummy! Definitely give this recipe a try if you are a fish lover.
